Been awhile

WOW!!! Its been a while since i posted....august and september has been uber busy, with school starting and all the things the bug and bubby are doing this year.  They turned 10 in september, boy do i feel old.  lol

Fall is finally on its way...yay!!!!!  the cooler weather is so nice and the leaves here are starting to turn which is awesome...i love this season, winter not so much, but fall....yummy.

I signed up for a class on kitchen witchery, which starts this month.  I am soooooo excited to start this class, here the link if anyone is interested in joining some classes.

Time To Turn Off The Heat!

The heat is starting to get to me!!!  I try so hard to be "green" and save energy, but trying to hang out laundry in this heat is killing me...yes, it dries fast and smells great, but I am sweating so bad by the time I am done, is it worth it???  Once I get it all hung out my energy level is almost non existent, by the time I recover, its time to take it all down.   I will be glad when this heat wave breaks and we start to get more cooler weather.  I am not lookin forward to all the cold air of winter (I am summer girl) but the coolness of fall will be most welcome.

Reading online the past few days, alot of fellow pagans are getting a lil upset over some post's ppl are making.  There has been a lot of talk and yes, arguing about different topics...All I see is that we (pagans, wiccans, etc) are turning into the "we are right, you are wrong" type of ppl.  I read a post about if you can call your self a wiccan, if your not from a traditional/linage path that can be traced to Gerald Gardener.  I have to admit, I am a bit confused about that.  When I started out on this path many years ago, Scott Cunningham was my first exposer to wicca, so I ( like many ppl) used his book "the solitary practitioner" and did a self dedication.  Does that make me less a wiccan?  I don't think so.  I choose a solitary path, having seen to much dogma and stuff working with different covens.  The 2 things that gets me riled the most is the this is right way and your doing it wrong argument and tearing down other pagan/wiccans (because of books they have written or comments they have made) .   Everyone makes mistakes and everyone has an opinion!!!  I feel that if you don't like a particular author, don't buy the book!!!!  We (pagans/wiccans) get enough accusations form non pagans/wiccans, we don't need it from each other too.  There I feel better now....

ok the rant is done...atleast for now, til I read my forums later on!!! lol

now i got to go be productive (blah)  and actually get work done, gotta pay those bills......have a blessed day!!

Busy, Busy, Busy

The past few days have mad busy!!!  I am renovating the kitchen and doing a border which is taking up so much time.  but the finished product will look great.

We are moving all the stuff from the storage unit to the unfinished carport/will be dining room today...yay!!!!  So this is turning out to be a working a weekend..it will be nice tho cause i have a lot of things in storage, including my all decorations and I am looking forward to decorating for the harvest.

More blue jays have shown up in the woods behind my house, which is so cool!!!!  Some black birds (ravens?) and robins have arrived too...I have been setting out food for them and it has worked very well..hopefully they will stick around.

The men in this house are are still asleep, so i better get to checking facebook and blogs.....have  blessed day!!!

Lazy Sunday

I think today will be a lazy day!!!  There is many things I need to do, but at the moment I don't feel like doing any of them.   I did put lunch in the crock pot last nite, but beyond cookin the sketti's I think I may just be very unproductive today.  But of course I change my mind like the wind, so that may change. 

It is supposed to be 112 degress here today with the heat index...that just blows my mind!!!!  I can't see doing anything that involeves leaving house today.

I did have a wonderful experience last nite tho, there are a few blue jays that live in the woods behind my house.  I was on the deck and one came up, landed on the table and stood there looking at me!!!!  It's funny ( or startling) , what I found about blue's is that they indicate one is in need of changing ones self and of accepting ones self.   In my research of Freya, I found out one of the things she helps you do is acceptance of self.  I am begining to think someone is trying to tell me something!!!!  LOL  Blue's are not one of her associated animals, cats are sacred to Freya..  I however am allergic to cats, so maybe??????

OMG!!!! Its HOT!!!!

I went outside this am to hang up the never ending laundry, and nearly died from the heat!!!!!!  My central air is working over time and I can only imagine what the electricity bill is gonna look like at the end of the month.  I wanted to get out into the woods today and check out the circle, but no, cant breathe outside...I have the greatest amount of respect for those who work out side ( roofers, construction, ect), I don't see how you do it.  So right now I am drinking a cup of homemade sweet tea and staying indoors...even the dogs don't want to go out...lol  But anyway been working most of the day and I finally have a few mins to check my groups, email, facebook, ect....Blessed Be

The woods out back

There is a wonderful woods right behind our house..it has this circle of trees growing naturally and has quite a magical feel to it...there are smaller ash tress that have there branches growing in an arch, at what I call the entrance to the circle.  It is the most amazing thing, it is a perfect circle that appears to have grown naturally among the oak and ash.  It has been so hot lately and with all the things still needing to be done from our move here, I have not had a chance to really go explore this magical place.  You can see this magical place from my deck and every time I have to go outside I look into woods at it...it is drawing me there.    However the yard needs so much work, I started the compost pile and that is going wonderfully.  I have all kinda things growing in the raised beds from the prior owner, I think I may have some dill and chamomile..not quite sure as I am not an herbalist that can id any plant...next year tho I want to plane veges and flowers, herbs, ect,...now on to check facebook, email, paganspace, ect.......Blessed Be

Adventures in Plumbing

Well I still dont got no tub!!!!!!!  They removed the old plumbing and replaced it with new stuff, the pipes are so old all of it had to get replaced...blah

The water in the bathroom does not have a shut off valve, so the main water had to be shut off!!!  I have been with out water since 1pm...its driving me crazy...however they seems to be almost done which is good...the kids need a shower tonite, they have been playing all day at the neighbors house on the slip n slide.

Note to self.....when ever buying a house check the plumbing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
